Projects will be reviewed based on functionality, creativity, and clarity of interaction.

Tier 1
Sticker sheet

• 1–2 hours tracked
• Basic drawing functionality
• Simple variation or idea

Tier 2
Sticker sheet + LCD writing tablet

• 2–3 hours tracked
• At least one clear unique interaction

Tier 3
Sticker sheet + Steam Gift Card

• 3+ hours tracked
• Published project
• Polished and intentional interaction

Who can participate?

This program is open to participants who are 18 years old or under.

Do I need programming experience?

No! NotASketch is beginner-friendly. You can use simple tools like HTML Canvas or any framework you prefer.

What counts as a "unique interaction"?

Any behavior that changes how drawing feels, such as delay, randomness, physics, or unusual controls.

How do I track my time?

Coding time is tracked using Hackatime, while design and art time can be tracked using Lapse or equivalent tools.

Where do I publish my project?

Projects must be published on itch.io (or a similar platform) and must be playable directly in the browser.

What is not allowed?

Simple paint clones or projects without a unique interaction are not allowed.
